WHISPERED PAIN

I've never wished for anyone
To have a mind like mine
Creating vivid images
Of a long forgotten time
Whispers of the flowers in the field
Knowing in my heart
That none of it is real

The Indians cresting the hill
Shadows that chase me in the night
The voices dark and surreal
I know I shouldn't wish it
But this is how I feel

~~~*Chorus*~~~
For just one day
I wish that you could see the things I see
The whispered pain
Just one day…
Maybe you wouldn't make me feel this way
If for just one day
You felt the whispered pain
~~*~~
Sometimes the pictures are so pretty
That I smile and desire it be true
Often screams escape
From within me
When terror flashes quickly into view
Knowing I am worthy to be loved
Is what helps me survive day to day
If you can’t understand
If it’s too much
My friend, you’ll just have to walk away
~~~*Lyrical Bridge*~~~
Don't you know
To be like you
I’d give most anything
Not to spend every minute
Every second wondering
Is it real
Is it really real
~~*~~

~~~*Chorus*~~~
For just one day
I wish that you could see the things I see
The whispered pain
Just one day…
Maybe you wouldn't make me feel this way
If for just one day
You felt the whispered pain
~~*~~
