MOUNTAINS OF MONTANA

I've lived in these mountains since I was a little girl
No desire to go elsewhere in this world

My Daddy worked in a sawmill in a pretty little town
My Mama was the kind who never let us down

Two Brothers and two Sisters to fight with and to love
God gave it all to me in Montana

~~~*Chorus*~~~
Where I’m breathless from the beauty
The splendor to be seen
The mountains of Montana
The forests lush and green
The peaks within the distance
Still blanketed with snow
The deer out in the meadow
Where the wildflowers grow
There’s nothing quite as peaceful
As a gentle flowing stream
Drifting through the silence
Softening your dreams
Eagles fly against a sky
Warmed by a sun of gold
The mountains of Montana
Gods Country I've been told
~~*~~
Daddy always taught me to appreciate fine things
Mama told me to be strong no matter what life brings
My Brothers and my Sisters sometimes got the best of me
But I wouldn't change a single day of the way things used to be
~~~~~~*Musical Bridge*~~~~~~

We have all grown up now, where the time went, I don’t know
I've a Brother and Sister in Washington, and a Sister in Idaho

The Lord, He took my Daddy, and though I miss him endlessly
I know he’s in Montana, with Mama, my Brother, and me

~~~*2nd Chorus*~~~
Forever to enjoy the beauty
The splendor to be seen
The mountains of Montana
The forests lush and green
The peaks within the distance
Still blanketed with snow
The deer out in the meadow
Where the wildflowers grow
There’s nothing quite as peaceful
As a gentle flowing stream
Drifting through the silence
Softening your dreams
Eagles fly against a sky
Warmed by a sun of gold
The mountains of Montana
Gods Country I've been told
~~*~~
The Mountains of Montana…
Gods Country I've been told
