SWING IN THE WIND

Relentless days...
No yearning to wake
Lacking the courage to begin
How do I relate
The bitterness of hate
Conveying the swing in the wind

To wake up without you
Paralyzed by fear
Echoes of memories
Whispering in my ear
I bar them to the bedroom
Entomb them once again
But there's always that swing in the wind...

~~~*Chorus*~~~
When it moves...I envision you
Eternally bound in your youth
When it sways...I recall the way
I relinquished myself when I lost you
I endure life...It's wearing thin
There's always that swing in the wind
~~*~~
Deep in the recess of my mind
There is a memory
Like shadows stealing
Through the dark
I can hear you laughing
As I push you higher
Towards the sky
On a swing
In the park
~~~*Lyrical Bridge*~~~
When torment comes
Cloaked in our midst
Death screams through elation
The blow's a fatal fist
Emerging through terror and din...
An image of...
A swing in the wind
~~*~~

~~~*2nd Chorus*~~~
And when it moves...I envision you
Eternally bound in your youth
When it sways...I recall the way
I relinquished myself when I lost you
I endure life...It's wearing thin
There's always that swing in the wind
~~*~~
~~~*Finale*~~~
There's no eluding...
I don't pretend...
I am the quarry of
The swing in the wind
~~*~~

~~~And when it moves~~~
