SOMETHING STOPPED ME

I was standing on the rocks this morning
The surf crashing in my ears
Relishing the spray, that escapes the waves
As it mingled with my desperate tears

I thought about stepping closer
Yeah…flirting with the ragged edge
Thought about the tide, the whole damn time
And giving it the life that I've got left

~~~*Chorus*~~~
But something stopped me
Like a whisper woven in the breeze
Yeah, something stopped me
When all I wanted was a pain release
You drove me down here
Like you grabbed my arm and said lets go
I feel you laughing
I’m not your problem anymore
I’ll take the ocean
You take her, and go and live my dream
Yeah, I stepped closer
Oh ,this anguish it is killing me
Let me free eee eee
Oh, something stopped me
~~*~~
Why does betrayal have to be so vivid
Intensely burning through my mind
Why must I be the constant victim
Am I stupid or just simply blind
Oh……
How did you get me stepping closer
Flirting with the ragged edge
How did you  drag me to the bottom
Drown the dignity that I had left
~~~*Lyrical Bridge*~~~
When does a soul start to waver towards
The shadows that exhaust a life
How did you become the jumping point
Me thirsting for the damning tide
What stopped me
Oh, oh, oh, something stopped me
~~*~~

~~~*2nd Chorus*~~~
Yeah, something stopped me
Like a whisper woven in the breeze
Something stopped me
When all I wanted was a pain release
You drove me down here
Like you grabbed my arm and said lets go
I feel you laughing
I’m not your problem anymore
I’ll take the ocean
You take her and go and live my dream
Yeah, I stepped closer
Oh, this anguish it is killing me
Let me free… … …
Oh, something stopped me
~~*~~
~~~*Finale*~~~
I almost did it
Surrender to the sea
But I’ll remain a Keystone
Ah, ah, ah,
Something stopped me
Yeah... .... ...
Something stopped me
~~*~~

  1. I seriously think you should find someone that sings and just have fun with your song, who knows where it might lead. Find a teenager that wants to sing and let them flow with it
