DIRTY WINDOW

This letter’s hard to write
I’m not sure where to start
It’s not as bad, as trying to clean
The dirty window to my heart

Yeah, if it’s a little hazy
No one can look through
To see my heart is bleeding
With it’s obstructed view

Back when my hand held aces
I let my window shine
So everyone could clearly see
That healthy heart of mine

Well I guess my game is over
You’re gone…I didn't win
Now there’s just a dirty window
That no one can look in

~~~*Chorus*~~~
Can you come back here please
And wipe it all away
It’s such a filthy mess
All covered up this way
The stains, the streaks,
All these cracks and leaks
I just don’t know where to start
I need you
To come and clean
The dirty window to my heart
~~*~~
~~~~~~*Bridge*~~~~~~

Thank you for the letter
Yeah, babe, my heart feels fine
The glass is shining once again
This window’s opened wide

Y’all feel free, to come and see
What she hung up, once framed
My letter’s there, and I don’t care
Because I’m back in the game
It says…………………..

~~~*Chorus*~~~
Can you come back here please
And wipe it all away
It’s such a filthy mess
All covered up this way
The stains, the streaks,
All these cracks and leaks
I just don’t know where to start
I need you
To come and clean
The dirty window to my heart
~~*~~
