HEEDING STORMS

Watching the wipers swish the rain away
Just to have to do it once again
It's a pointless effort when it pours like this
You have to stop and wait for it to end

I have a lot of time to sit and think
While the howling wind rocks my car
How ironic that I had to stop so soon
It's like the weather said don't go too far

~~~*Chorus*~~~
When you hold no doubt
That you're in love
And you get into a fight
Sometimes you need to realize
That you're not always right
You can fix it, see it through
Talk together until you do
Don't walk out
Or that storm will follow you
Heeding storms
Is the smartest thing to do
~~*~~
I've turned off the wipers, so I can't see
Like I couldn't see, a thing, your way
Yeah I lost control and stormed out the door
I should have listened, Yeah I should have stayed
~~*Lyrical Bridge*~~~
When a storm forms
In my life
I want ride it far away
But this time it won't carry me
It's like the weather says I have to stay
I'll have to wait for it to ease
To come back
And ask you to forgive me
~~*~~
~~~*Chorus*~~~
When you hold no doubt
That you're in love
And you get into a fight
Sometimes you need to realize
That you're not always right
You can fix it, see it through
Talk together until you do
Don't walk out
Or that storm will follow you
Heeding storms
Is the smartest thing to do
~~*~~

  1. This song totally fits with what my son +Andrrew Ballou is going through right now. He and his girlfriend broke up. (They have a little baby.) He was so heartbroken....he wanted to escape. I told him to walk through the pain. This song totally fits.
