THROUGH THAT DOOR

I want to be a little boy
They are out to do me harm
And I’m too old to run into
Daddy’s protective arms

Well, some things I just can’t handle
Speaking up might make it worse
So I refrain, and take the pain
No matter how it hurts
But…

~~~*Chorus*~~~
I don’t want to be here
I am forced through that door
You won’t understand...
But
I don’t want to be here
Anymore…
~~*~~
All day long I’m miserable
They won't leave me alone
The ugly from the day bleeds
Soaks through the good of home
~~~*Lyrical Bridge*~~~
I have struggled to leave it behind me
When I walk out that door every day
When I come home
There are smiles all around me
I smile back, and try to ban the pain
It won’t go away
Monday mornings, terrified
I walk through that door
I don’t want to be there anymore
~~*~~

~~~*2nd Chorus*~~~
I don’t want to be there
I am forced through that door
You won’t understand...
But
I don’t want to be here
Anymore…
~~*~~
