NOT A ROBOT

She said
I don’t think farts are funny
Or when men adjust themselves
If you’re going to spit in front of me
Then go find someone else
Don’t smoke, don’t chew, and no F word
Eat with your mouth closed, please don’t burp
Good hygiene is priority, my nose is sensitive
I said “whoa girl, tell me in what world
Is the fantasy you live?”
My mama taught me manners
Respect I can define
And I’ll tell you this, about your list
It’s a waste of my sweet time

~~~*Chorus*~~~
A robot
That’s what you want
Me, I’m flesh and blood
Some of it is doable
But you expect too much
What about a kiss
Not on your list
It’s when two lips must touch
Germs are shared
You can’t be spared
As a robot I would rust
Girl
One thing I’m not
Is a stinking robot
~~*~~
I said
Sometimes farts are funny
And I try to be discrete
I won’t spit in front of you
Unless there’s something in my teeth
I don’t smoke or chew, sometimes I cuss
And I don’t think that I smack too much
I’m sure that it would really hurt
If you always make me hold a burp
And, as a man, I sweat.
It hasn’t killed nobody yet
~~~*Bridge*~~~
A little jolt
Tighten bolt
Too loud
Adjust to whisper
Go forward
Now
Sit down
Do not disturb
Steady whir
Right, left, stop
Good robot!
~~*~~

~~~*Chorus*~~~
Yeah…
A robot
That’s what you want
Me, I’m flesh and blood
Some of it is doable
But you expect too much
What about a kiss
Not on your list
It’s when two lips must touch
Germs are shared
You can’t be spared
As a robot I would rust
Girl
One thing I’m not
Is a stinking robot
~~*~~
