WHAT I CANNOT SEE

The river's running deep and black
No reflection coming back
Winds along the railroad tracks
Disappearing in the dark...

Alluring in the morning light
Treacherous by dead of night
Unease travels up the spine
Brings awareness cold and stark

~~~*Chorus*~~~
What I can't see...
Is terrifying me...
What I can
Doesn't ease...
Increasing fear
But come the light...
There's clarity of mind...
I am sound
When I find
My view is clear
Panic disappears
It's difficult for me
To comprehend, believe...
That I am so afraid of
What I cannot see
~~*~~
As the clouds gather, closing in
Bring foreboding, screaming winds
The despair, in me, begins
Confidence, I cannot find...
Surroundings I am blinded to
Shrouded paths, I won't pursue
Everything they say is true
I'm a victim of my mind
~~~*Lyrical Bridge*~~~
So many forms of darkness
To instill the fear inside
You can't keep the night from falling
Or all pain out of your life
You can face...
You can face what haunts you
Or decline, and choose to hide
As for me...
For me...
I,m tired...
Oh...
Oh, I'm tired
I'm tired of being scared of
What I cannot see
What I can't see!!!....

~~~*Chorus*~~~
What I can't see
Is terrifying me
What I can
Doesn't ease...
Increasing fear
But come the light...
There's clarity of mind
I am sound
When I find...
My view is clear
Panic disappears
It's difficult for me
To comprehend, believe
That I am so afraid of
What I cannot see
~~*~~
