MESSING UP MY LIFE

I saw him Monday morning
By his locker in the hall
Walked by me like a stranger
With no contact at all

My Daddy introduced him
To the way that fear ignites
Two hours past my Curfew
On our date Friday night

~~~*Chorus*~~~
You will suffer, if you touch her
Not a single hand
I will shoot you , like a varmint
Drop you where you stand
Burning rubber, on the concrete
Ripping from the drive
My Daddy, oh sweet Daddy
You're messing up my life
~~*~~
When I had finished high school
I thought college would change my luck
But Daddy had to drive me
In his bad-a** truck
I couldn't disrespect him
When the cops were on the way
You don't mention guns on campus
You don't threaten guys that way
~~~*Lyrical Bridge*~~~
There are many kinds of Fathers
You can flip a coin
Mine will go to jail
Just to prove a point
You don't touch his Daughter
No one even tries
Daddy, oh sweet Daddy
You're messing up my life
~~*~~

~~~*Chorus*~~~
You will suffer, if you touch her
Not a single hand
I will shoot you , like a varmint
Drop you where you stand
Burning rubber, on the concrete
Ripping from the drive
My Daddy, oh sweet Daddy
You're messing up my life
~~*~~
