NO LIFELINE

She spun her web so fine
I couldn't see it
A barrier to shadow her disguise
I am tangled in it far too deeply
There's no escape
My heart's been compromised
She used love
As a brilliant maneuver
I'm the casualty she has claimed
Once I was entwined
And saw the truth arise
I was too addicted to feel shamed

~~~*Chorus*~~~
She wove her web
Flawless over time
An exquisite trap
No lifeline
~~*~~
There's no outside, of her web
For this prisoner
Obsessive thirst and aches
Stake their claim
These yearnings
This sick infatuation
Demand I bear the hunger
I remain
~~~*Lyrical Bridge*~~~
When everything inside, feels crowded, so confined
When the hurting fires are on the rise
My body finally tires, no freedom from desire
I'm her captive, and there's no lifeline
~~*~~

~~~*Chorus*~~~
She wove her web
Flawless over time
An exquisite trap
No lifeline
~~*~~
