TRUTH OR MADNESS

He saw her in the orchard
Bare feet dancing on the ground
With the petals of the blossoms
Swirling all around

Thought… is she real or spirit
Sun weaving through the trees
He stood there like a statue
For the whole breathtaking scene

And his heart had to wonder
Of the orchard beauty’s life
She smiled and started running
Mischief playing in her eyes

She held her hand out to him
Whispered come and run with me
He joined a flight of pure delight
Through the blooming orchard trees

~~~*Chorus*~~~
Is it truth or madness
How fine is the line
Oh it feels so real
So real to feel
What’s playing in the mind
Is it truth or madness
Factual or pretend
Is she real or spirit
Does it matter in the end
~~*~~
He ran with the spirit
Of the girl beneath the trees
Hand in hand they flew through
The petals on the breeze
Captured by her wildness
The touch of her raven hair
With a childlike demeanor
Laughter skipping through the air
All at once she halted,
Pulled him back, their bodies met
She kissed him with a passion
That remains unequaled yet
And there she left him standing
With the orchard all aglow
Wondering was she real or spirit
Did he really want to know
~~~*Chorus*~~~
Is it truth or madness
How fine is the line
Oh it feels so real
So real to feel
What’s playing in the mind
Is it truth or madness
Factual or pretend
Is she real or spirit
Does it matter in the end
~~*~~

Addiction is compulsive
And the weak will be drawn in
He returned to the orchard
Just to be with her again

Felt the wild rush of his blood
When he saw her dancing there
The sweet petals of the blossoms
Intertwined with raven hair

Every day, with the trees in bloom
Their passion it played on
And when the petals disappeared
His spirit love was gone

~~~*Finale*~~~
Is it truth or madness
How fine is the line
Oh it feels so real
So real to feel
What’s playing in the mind
Is it truth or madness
Factual or pretend
Is she real or spirit
Does it matter in the end
~~*~~
Was it truth or madness
Does it matter in the end
When the blossoms bloom in June
He'll dance with her again
~~*~~
