DEAL UP

He walked with his only Son
When he’d finished with the wheat
They climbed up on the tractor
Where he offered him the seat

He said boy I've played my hands
Eating dust here on this farm
Can’t seem to draw a winner
Though I've tried mighty hard

The deck’s been stacked against us
With every rising cost
Now go and help your Mama
Don’t you worry bout what’s lost

He watched his Son run to the house
Reached up and wiped his eyes
He wasn't raised a quitter
Just has to change the way he fights

~~~*1st Chorus*~~~
He yelled…
Shoot me a hand
Would you dealer
Just fill it up with royalty
I've had enough of the bad ones
To last me all eternity
Someone has to win at the table
I am eager, you just show me how
Deal up, and make me a winner
Cause my future’s in the pot right now
~~*~~
He leased out his farm equipment
And signed on to drive a truck
Called his home in the evenings
Said it’s just until a change of luck
He knew they would both be crying
When it came time to say good night
But he had been raised a Farmer
And those farm boys know how to fight
~~~*2nd Chorus*~~~
He yelled…
Shoot me a hand
Would you dealer
Just fill it up with royalty
I've had enough of the bad ones
To last me all eternity
Someone has to win at the table
I am eager, you just show me how
Deal up, and make me a winner
Cause my family really needs me now
~~*~~

Six years of driving the highways
With his family and without
Everything was bought and paid for
The banks couldn't scare him now

His Son became quite the Farmer
Together they stacked their own deck
Now they are holding all the aces
And not a soul has beat them yet

~~~*Final Chorus*~~~
He yelled…
Shoot me a hand
Would you dealer
Just fill it up with royalty
I’m telling you it’s a good life
I’ll hold it for eternity
Someone has to win at the table
I was eager, to know just how
Deal up, and play with a winner
Cause this Farmer has the system down
