ARCTIC HEART

The morning embraced me like a rising sun
You're already on my mind
You left an impression on my frigid heart
I could feel the bands unbind

I thought I was content living like I was
Didn't need the ice to thaw
Believed if I dispersed of that frosty shield
I'd expose it weak and raw

~~~*Chorus*~~~
You melted ice
You bared my heart
And now it is beating
The arctic wind's a warm Chinook
I'm no longer freezing
You advanced upon the barrier
Ignored the bitter bite
Conquered the arctic heart
A victor in the fight
No more arctic heart...
~~*~~
I've never had a day where I felt compelled
To leave work, and just go home
There was no fire burning that beckoned me
No yearning to be alone
Now I can feel the flames posing as a blush
How you set my cold heart free
All I want to do is be seduced by you
Eager to consume the heat
~~~*Chorus*~~~
You melted ice
You bared my heart
And now it is beating
The arctic wind's a warm Chinook
I'm no longer freezing
You advanced upon the barrier
Ignored the bitter bite
Conquered the arctic heart
A victor in the fight
No more arctic heart...
~~*~~
No more arctic heart...
