NEW YORK LIFE

You brag about your western sunsets
Try to hook me on the mountain air
Add a river running through a forest
You'd say anything to get me there
The bugle of an elk break the silence
The smell of the Ponderosa pine
Walking a path never traveled
Well for you...
That might be right...

~~~*Chorus*~~~
But for me
That's too much peace
I prefer a sound release
A concert with a thousand fans
Screaming for more
Bodies dancing, waving hands
I'm breathing the smog
Pulsing neon lights
You can do your mountains
I'll do New York life
~~*~~
You want to drag me to the ocean
Hear the rhythm of the constant waves
That fresh salty scent all around us
Exploring the beaches and the caves
Fishing and hunting for seashells
Umbrellas and children flying kites
No worries pressing us forward
Maybe to you...
That sounds fine...
~~~*Chorus*~~~
But to me
That's too much peace
I prefer a sound release
A concert with a thousand fans
Screaming for more
Bodies dancing, waving hands
I'm breathing the smog
Pulsing neon lights
You can do your Ocean
I'll do New York life
~~*~~

~~~*Lyrical Bridge*~~~
I couldn't give up "Dizzy's"
When I want some Jazz
Gotta have "Gothams"
When I need to laugh
"BB King's: for a night of Blues
"Pier 54's" where I cut loose
~~*~~
~~~*Finale*~~~
Yeah, for me
Don't need the peace
Give me a screaming crowd
you do your havens and your getaways
I crave the music and the sounds
I'm breathing the smog
Pulsing neon lights
You do what you want to
I'll do New York Life
~~*~~
