WHAT ELUDES ME

I smell Lily of the valley
See grass shining with dew
All the memories are stirring
But the story won't come through
The dancing weeping willows
The distant eagles call
Close my eyes, waiting to see
But it won't break through at all

~~~*Chorus*~~~
What...
Eludes me
I don't remember things
Why this passion for the waters
The clear sound of mountain streams
Who is the face I strain to see...
Ahhh...
It eludes me
~~*~~
I see children in the shadows
Hear laughter echoing
There's a sharp sense of Deja Vu
But I can't recall a thing
~~~*~~~
Ahhh...
It eludes me...
~~~*~~~
~~~*Lyrical Bridge*~~~
I see their shattered hearts
They strive to hide
And glimpse undying love
In grieving eyes
These strangers grace my world
Who were my life
And as I mourn their loss
I fight to find
What eludes me...
~~*~~

~~~*Chorus*~~~
What...
Eludes me
I don't remember things
Why this passion for the waters
The clear sound of mountain streams
Who is the face I strain to see...
Ahhh...
It eludes me
~~*~~
