RUNNING AWAY

The train pulled into the station
It was well after ten
Read a sign in a shop window
We're open, come on in
Stuck in a little nowhere town
With four hours to fill
I didn't feel like company
But had the time to kill

~~~*Chorus*~~~
I was running away
Running from the clutter
Always getting in my way
From the noise, the chaos
And a job I couldn't take
I gave it up
 I'd had enough
Nothing to make me stay
Got on a train
And left that day
I was running away
~~*~~
I was greeted by the wind chimes
The minute I walked in
They cast a sweet spell over me
The room was warm and dim
When she came from the back room
I felt my cold heart stir
I was running away
When I ran into her
~~~*Lyrical Bridge*~~~
In her shop of novelties
Silks, beads, and figurines
Colliding kindred spirits in the air
We both felt a connection
smiled at me with affection
The pretty Asian girl with sable hair
~~*~~

~~~*Chorus*~~~
I was running away
Running from the clutter
Always getting in my way
From the noise, the chaos
And a job I couldn't take
I gave it up
 I'd had enough
Nothing to make me stay
Got on a train
And left that day
I was running away
~~*~~
~~~*Finale*~~~
I didn't make the parting train...
I've chosen to stay
I have found a reason
While running away
~~*~~
