DON'T GO FISHING

My Brothers said they'd take my Son fishing
Yes I agree that it's a nice thing to do
But you have never listened to their stories
There's a reason to be scared I'm telling you

My big Brother has no fear of the ocean
I told him that he's no "Jacques Cousteau"
A man that respected its great dangers
And wouldn't fish it in a dinky boat

~~~*Chorus*~~~
They scare the life out of us
I swear they lose their minds
One mention of the "F" word
The whole family starts to sweat
They say what more can happen
That hasn't happened yet
We all worry...
This may be the time
Don't go fishing
Stay alive
~~*~~
Just to prove that I am not kidding
One time they took a trip to the coast
They were like hillbillies in the city
The waves were ten times bigger than the boat
They secured it to a tree on some island
Then went exploring like a couple kids
Came back in time to watch, as their boat sank
Filling up with sand, as the tide came in
I did write a letter to the Coast Guard
To thank the ones that helped to rescue them
I did not include my name, or my address
Knowing that they all might meet again
~~~*Chorus*~~~
They scare the life out of us
I swear they lose their minds
One mention of the "F" word
The whole family starts to sweat
They say, what can happen
That hasn't happened yet
We all worry...
This may be the time
Don't go fishing
Stay alive
~~*~~

I think my little Brother learned a lesson
Being stranded may have shook him up a bit
Yeah, we should be thankful, but we're frantic
My big Brother's taking Mom on the next trip

~~~*Finale*~~~
This scares the life out of us
I swear he's lost his mind
One mention of the "F" word
The whole family starts to sweat
He says, what more can happen
That hasn't happened yet
We all worry...
This may be the time
Don't go fishing
Stay alive
~~*~~
This is just one example of the luck they're pressing on
Nightmares with fishing poles...All sense of normal gone
Every time that they go...My head hurts, and I get hives
I beg them...Don't go fishing
Stay alive
~~*~~
