DON'T MESS WITH MINE

I've tried to be a noble person
Forgive the hand that slaps me on the cheek
I have turned the other for their pleasure
Swallowed my pride, and grit my teeth
My enemies know that I am humble
Not the kind of soul to stir up waves
I’m sure they are confident in thinking
I’ll take their lies and torment to the grave….

~~~*Chorus*~~~
Go ahead and mess with me
I’ll just turn thee other cheek
Back off every time
You cross the line
Go ahead and mess with me
I can take the suffering
But be ready for the me
I won’t confine
Don’t mess with mine
~~*~~
The weight of deception on my shoulders
Living by a rule I know holds truth
While keeping your enemies close to you
Your virtues may be lost within the ruse
It’s hard to fathom their kind of evil
And more painful to treat them as a friend
It’s a nightmare on such a grievous level
Scared to death, to know deceit, like them
~~~*Lyrical Bridge*~~~
I’ll take the chance
I’ll walk on you
I’ll rip you up
And when I’m through
May you realize
You should have been nice
I won't tell you twice
Don’t mess with mine

~~~*Chorus*~~~
Go ahead and mess with me
I’ll just turn thee other cheek
Back off every time
You cross the line
Go ahead and mess with me
I can take the suffering
But be ready for the me
I won’t confine
Don’t mess with mine
~~*~~
