LAND OF THE INDIAN BRAVES

The lands were beautiful and wild
And few Mustangs were tame
You could hear the eagle’s call for miles
In the land of the Indian Braves

No scars left on their hunting grounds
They seemed to know from birth
To leave a treasure as it’s found
They were all one with the earth

Only taking what was needed
They survived on what she gave
Oh what have we all done to…
The land of the Indian Braves

~~~*Chorus*~~~
We cut the trees, ignored their screams
Drove them from their homes
Brought in the iron horses
Ran them over sacred bones
We built and shoved all that they loved
Onto our plots of dirt
Then drained and sucked their precious earth
For all that it was worth
No amount of pride could save the wilds
Once we had them enslaved
Now we cry and moan, too dim to save
The land of the Indian Braves
~~*~~
The lands are ravaged, bared, defiled
The Mustang’s a dying breed
The glory that was once preserved
Now suffers from our greed
Set aside are monuments
And parks that evoke awe
This is why, with shame, I cry
They’re a trinket of what was
~~~*Lyrical Bridge*~~~
We took the time to destroy her
Now lets heal what we can...
We are still a mighty Nation
And it’s time to take a stand
But you have to feel the will to fight
Knowing changes must be made
Before we kill the spirit of...
The land of the Indian Braves

~~~*Chorus*~~~
We cut the trees, ignored their screams
Drove them from their homes
Brought in the iron horses
Ran them over sacred bones
We built and shoved all that they loved
Onto our plots of dirt
Then drained and sucked their precious earth
For all that it was worth
No amount of pride could save the wilds
Once we had them enslaved
Now we cry and moan, too dim to save
The land of the Indian Braves
~~*~~
