THAT PARTY SUCKED

My best friends name is Bob

Our only crime is smoking pot

a lot
This here story, I'm warning you
Will scare the daylights out of you
It's true

Well...

Me and Bob was headed into town

Saw a sign nailed to a tree

It was huge, and said “Party”

Painted neon green

Bob said, hey turn right there

It’s been a while, at least a week

Not very often that you drive along

And see a party all for free

When we pulled up, some kid yelled

MOM!  it’s not one clown, there’s two

Bob hollered right back at him

And said, kid that’s just plain rude

We walked into the kitchen

Through the entrance in the rear

There weren't no chip bags anywhere

And not a single keg of beer

Some old lady came around the corner

Grabbed her chest, and screamed

Scared me and Bob bout half to death

We looked behind us warily

No one was there, but all-a-sudden

The room filled up with kids

Didn't like the way they stared at us

But I asked where the good stuff’s hid

You know beer and chips…

We could hear the sirens coming

Felt like we should hide

But those coppers had our Chevy

Surrounded in the drive

As they put on the handcuffs

Me and Bob was mortified

So these are the kind of parties

Crazy people advertise

It looks like there won’t be

No chips or beer for us

Just a free ride with the coppers

That party sucked

Bob tried to ask them bout the charges

And the cop screamed in his face

He said, don’t you try to mess with me

We know you tried to rob this place

I said heck no, we just came to party

How’d it get jacked up like this

We saw the sign down on the road

We just came for the beer and chips

I swear that’s it…

Then we heard the sirens coming

Felt like we should hide

Well that danged Bob started crying

And I couldn't calm him down

The cops said we’d have to face the judge

When Monday morning rolled around

He said breaking and entering

Attempted robbery and stress

I said we walked right in to party

You tell me, what goods did we get

We don’t even own a weapon

So how dangerous can we be

I screamed, there it is right there!

You see the sign there on the tree

That sign says party…

That copper started laughing

But he still took us to jail

And I got stuck with Bob all night

I thought he’d drown me in the cell…

Well me and Bob sure did get lucky

Monday morning with the judge

They were dropping all the charges

Since no real harm was done

He said, there is no charge for ignorance

But you don’t know who to trust

I said, you got that right your Honor

Cause that party really sucked

Well it did for us…..
