NO LOVE NEED APPLY

Just so you know man
I’m not normally people
I am brutal knowledge
Often carnal minded
I Feel hate take as it please
I won’t be a victim
Makes it’s too hard to breathe

~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~
The claws are bleeding
I stalk for the capture
Feel the passion rising
Then my hunger sated
See the burn fade out
From their eyes
Try not to act thirsty but
There is no disguise
I’m a hunter
No love
Need apply
She may be pretty
And have real potential
She is surely wicked
Oh and such a hustler
Yeah they all have what
Needs supplied
Lust is thee addiction
There is no need to lie
I’m a hunter
No love
Need apply
~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~

I'm simply yearning
Want of equal pleasure
They're an open target
Of my vital wisdom
Tell them when and where
And how and why
State what I am craving
Everything I desire

I’m a hunter
No love
Need apply

I’m a hunter
No love
Need apply

I'M GOING SOMEWHERE

Hey...
I'm going somewhere
Bags packed, I've got my shades
Yeah...
Nothing to stop me
My dues have all been paid
You...
Could have come with me
If you'd have only stayed
Now...
I'm going somewhere
Y'all get out of my way

~~~*Chorus*~~~
I leave behind a mundane life
That's never fit me well
I was trapped so many years
Could not express myself
Never blind to thee other side
I knew what was out there
I've done my time, said my goodbyes
Now...
I'm going somewhere
~~*~~
Oh... New fires burning
Lighting the path I've drawn
Man...
Exhilarating
This journey that I'm on
~~~*Lyrical Bridge*~~~
Oh...
Can't you see, a spirit freed
With all that's bound me gone
Can't you feel the energy
That I'm now feeding on
Yeah, all along, in every song
The passion has been there...
Now...
I'm going somewhere
~~*~~

~~~*Chorus*~~~
I leave behind a mundane life
That's never fit me well
I was trapped so many years
Could not express myself
Never blind to thee other side
I knew what was out there
I've done my time, said my goodbyes
Now...
I'm going somewhere
~~*~~
~~*Finale*~~
Today's the day, ya'll come or stay
But don't get in my way
I'll surely burst, with the wander thirst
Breathe new Beginnings air....
I'm going somewhere
~~*~~
THE FIRST TIME
I’ve been fighting the power of feelings
Coursing through this wary body’s veins
I have every right to be this leery
It won’t survive the loss of you again
I had barely built up my resistance
Repaired what you left on the decline
No time for walls, before I got your call
And you drug my heart back
To the first time...
~~~*Chorus*~~~
The first time was Magical
Living just to be with you
Recalling those memories
That I’ve been dancing through
Reviving love, in my mind
So beautiful, I’ve got to try
Imagine…
 It will be just fine
Pretend…
That it’s the first time
~~*~~

I’m trying not to turn, and run away
Waiting for my dream to reappear
Unaware of my surroundings
Nervous heart pounding
Trying to hold back the tears

~~~*Lyrical Bridge*~~~
I know that there are trees that bend
That petals fall with the changing winds
But I don’t want to be scared
Searching for the signs
I want the first time…
~~*~~
~~~*Chorus*~~~
The first time was Magical
Living just to be with you
Recalling those memories
That I’ve been dancing through
Reviving love, in my mind
So beautiful, I’ve got to try
Imagine…
 It will be just fine
Pretend…
That it’s the first time
~~*~~
Oh, Life’s so fine….
Better than the first time

NOT A ROBOT

She said
I don’t think farts are funny
Or when men adjust themselves
If you’re going to spit in front of me
Then go find someone else
Don’t smoke, don’t chew, and no F word
Eat with your mouth closed, please don’t burp
Good hygiene is priority, my nose is sensitive
I said “whoa girl, tell me in what world
Is the fantasy you live?”
My mama taught me manners
Respect I can define
And I’ll tell you this, about your list
It’s a waste of my sweet time

~~~*Chorus*~~~
A robot
That’s what you want
Me, I’m flesh and blood
Some of it is doable
But you expect too much
What about a kiss
Not on your list
It’s when two lips must touch
Germs are shared
You can’t be spared
As a robot I would rust
Girl
One thing I’m not
Is a stinking robot
~~*~~
I said
Sometimes farts are funny
And I try to be discrete
I won’t spit in front of you
Unless there’s something in my teeth
I don’t smoke or chew, sometimes I cuss
And I don’t think that I smack too much
I’m sure that it would really hurt
If you always make me hold a burp
And, as a man, I sweat.
It hasn’t killed nobody yet
~~~*Bridge*~~~
A little jolt
Tighten bolt
Too loud
Adjust to whisper
Go forward
Now
Sit down
Do not disturb
Steady whir
Right, left, stop
Good robot!
~~*~~

~~~*Chorus*~~~
Yeah…
A robot
That’s what you want
Me, I’m flesh and blood
Some of it is doable
But you expect too much
What about a kiss
Not on your list
It’s when two lips must touch
Germs are shared
You can’t be spared
As a robot I would rust
Girl
One thing I’m not
Is a stinking robot
RIGHTEOUS BLOOD
How much more
Can be endured
The violence has to end
I wish that I
Was by your side
While you fight this war my friends
It won’t abate
The senseless hate
We see evil takes its reign
In wait I’ve prayed
All night and day
But the terror comes again
~~~*Chorus*~~~
While the blood of the righteous
Continues to be spilled
By repulsive demons
Thirsting for the kill
I know that you’ll remain there
Fighting to right the wrongs
Know that my heart followed
It’s been there all along
~~*~~

How much fear
Can be survived
Before good souls can’t go on

It’s so unjust
This hateful lust
These demented minds thrive on

I hope they know
That disgust grows
More, with every death they seek

That through our eyes
They’re cowards and swine
And that’s all they’ll ever be

~~~*Lyrical Bridge*~~~
No, there is no way inside
When you can’t relate to the wicked mind
With faith and honor you rise up
And you face the devils with your righteous blood
~~*~~
~~~*Chorus*~~~
While the blood of the righteous
Continues to be spilled
By repulsive demons
Thirsting for the kill
I know that you’ll remain there
Fighting to right the wrongs
Know that my heart followed
It’s been there all along
~~*~~

Pray for peace...
For Brotherhood
Pray for the souls...
Of righteous blood
~~*~~

NOT WORTH A PROMISE

She promised
Yeah…. She promised
When she took my name….
She promised
Oh, oh, promised
It would always
Always be this way
And I promised
Yeah… I promised
That I would not change
It is done, and I’m the one…
That kept a promise….

~~~*Chorus*~~~
The edges of her broken promise
Cut too deep this time
At least they severed something
I won’t miss
Don’t feel a thing
She’s not worth a promise
~~*~~
She promised
Yeah…. She promised
There would be no games….
She promised
Oh, oh, promised
It would always
Always be that way
And I promised
Yeah… I promised
I would do the same
It is done, and she's the one…
That broke a promise….
~~~*Lyrical Bridge*~~~
Her oath, her word, her bond, her solemn vow
They mean nothing now
A scorned heart can’t be mended with a kiss
She’s not worth a promise
~~*~~

~~~*Chorus*~~~
The edges of her broken promise
Cut too deep this time
At least they severed something
I won’t miss
Don’t feel a thing
She’s not worth a promise
~~*~~
No, no , no
Not worth a promise
MY GEO METRO
She said this can’t be your car man
I won’t be seen in that
You've got to be kidding
I’m taking our date back
Spoken:
Taking our date back?
What do you want to do, walk?
Hey, come on, don’t leave
The least we can do is talk!
Fine! Walk!
~~~*Chorus*~~~
I’ll be cruising around in my Geo Metro
You may laugh, but it’s good on petrol
Is that your big, new truck, in your driveway…
Man, how much gas does that huge sucker take
When you fill it up, just how far can you go
I love my Geo Metro
~~*~~

She asked me if I was joking
At least this one got in
Said we only have ten minutes
Before the show begins

I laughed cause she was whining
There was no parking place
I whipped my Geo Metro
Into a little space

I didn't ask her out again
She did not appreciate
How awesome my car is
And now it’s just too late

~~~*Chorus*~~~
I’ll be cruising around in my Geo Metro
You may laugh, but it’s good on petrol
Is that your big, new truck, in your driveway…
Man, how much gas does that huge sucker take
When you fill it up, just how far can you go
I love my Geo Metro
~~*~~
~~~* Finale*~~~
Yeah, it’s not that fast
But great on gas
I don’t care if its beat up
Go ahead and joke
I’m not going broke
Driving some big truck
When I have a date
I can treat her great
Cause I have cash to spend
Now my only problem is…
Some girls just wont get in

I WONDER

I helped my Grandfather
In the wheat fields
During harvest, every year
When I was young
He was everything I wanted to be like
We cleared those dusty fields
From dawn to dusk
He never complained
 I followed suit, and did the same
I desired his pride
In how hard I tried
And I wonder
Yeah I wonder
Could he see the love
When he looked in my eyes

~~~*Chorus*~~~
When life loses its shine
I stop the hands of time
And remember every day that gleamed
When we were tilling up the land
Slapping backs and shaking hands
When a man was what he seemed to be
And I wonder
Yeah I wonder
Did he know how much he meant to me
~~*~~
I think about those times
We spent together
And all the endless talks
Of future plans
And I wonder if he knew
How much I loved him
Or that he is the reason
That I am
The man I am
Yeah, I wonder…
~~~*Chorus*~~~
When life loses its shine
I stop the hands of time
And remember every day that gleamed
When we were tilling up the land
Slapping backs and shaking hands
When a man was what he seemed to be
And I wonder
Yeah I wonder
Did he know how much he meant to me

CHOOSE OUR FATE

I dream of a refuge
It's on an island
Far from animosity
Where we have shelters
Grow big gardens
Have no electricity
A pool of fresh water
Fed by the falls
And fruit trees of every kind
My dream's a reflection
Of the contention
Weighing heavy on my mind

~~~*Chorus*~~~
I'll take a God- given hurricane
A tsunami, any raging storm
Monsoons washing everything away
His disasters in any form
But I reject... the malice of man
The collision of their greed and hate
I'll take everyone I love with me
In my dreams, it's not too late
We get to choose our fate
~~*~~
I dream of a prison
It's in the desert
Far from loving human beings
There’s no escaping
No bleeding hearts
That will set these villains free
The souls who are evil
Are all shoved in there
Forgotten like they should be
A dream born of disgust
Outrage and mistrust
For allies to the enemy
~~~*Lyrical Bridge*~~~
I know our world will never be
The Garden of Eden
There are wars and torture
Righteous screams
Why not contain the demons
When we have the power
To grant what all the gracious dream
It's not too late
Let us choose our fate
~~*~~

~~~*Chorus*~~~
I'll take a God- given hurricane
A tsunami, any raging storm
Monsoons washing everything away
His disasters in any form
But I reject… the malice of man
The collision of their greed and hate
I'll take everyone I love with me
In my dreams, it's not too late
We get to choose our fate
THOU SHALT NOT KILL
Time to decide
A ravaged life that pleads
Thou shalt not kill
Does not panic me
I will not lie
I’ve read every verse
But I'd give my life
To execute the hurt
I shall steal
Abduct her from this earth
Endure your wrath
To deliver her
~~~*Chorus*~~~
I know she is yours
This precious being
I would hold on tight
But the suffering
Is endless
Relentless
Thou shalt not kill
Does not cripple me
My life for hers
Fulfilled>>>
~~*~~
Thou shalt not kill
~~*~~

Time to decide
A ravaged life that pleads
Thou shalt not kill
Does not hinder me

I will not lie
I'll covet what is lost
I fear you Lord
But I must go on

I shall steal
Steal her pain away
Thou shalt not kill
It is a price I’ll pay

~~~*Chorus*~~~
I know she is yours
This precious being
I would hold on tight
But the suffering
Is endless
Relentless
Thou shalt not kill
Does not cripple me
My life for hers
 Fulfilled...
~~~*~~~
Thou shalt not kill

TOO HIGH

Did I move too fast
Did I try too hard
Was I not enough
Enough to win your heart
I don’t understand
Whatever did I do
To make you build a wall
A wall I can’t pass through

~~~*Chorus*~~~
Too high
Too high to climb
Baby it’s too high
The wall you built
To block this heart of mine
It’s just too high
~~*~~
We could start again
It can’t be too late
Look at what we have
That you would toss away
Make it clear to me
Please tell me what you want
What do I have to do
To make you drop the wall
~~~*Lyrical Bridge*~~~
Should I plead with you
Would it help to cry
I can’t tear it down
I’ve already tried
You’re the one in control...
So tell me
Tell me what’s my role
I have the right to know
Why...
You built this wall so high
~~*~~

~~~*Chorus*~~~
Too high
Too high to climb
Baby it’s too high
The wall you built
To block this heart of mine
It’s just too high
~~*~~
CHANGE OF TOPIC
Change of topic
What’s acceptable
I don’t like your views
So don’t get comfortable
Well that’s just fine
You don’t agree with mine
I’m not throwing them in your face
You’re the one that’s attacking me
When I am living on His Grace
~~~*1st Chorus*~~~
Change of topic
How’s your weather been
Are you healthy
How about your friends
It’s getting hotter
I've been a little sick
There you go again
Change of topic
~~*~~

Change of topic
Why are you so mean
I truly love you
That’s why I let you be
When I want to rage
Try to make you change
To open up your eyes and see
Faith and Love are crucial things
That they are all you’ll ever need

~~~*2nd Chorus*~~~
Change of topic
How’s your Mother been
Is she happy
Has she made new friends
I give you reasons
Wish I could make them stick
You say forget it
Change of topic
~~*~~
~~~*Finale*~~~
We are bound forever
By family ties
Live with your opinion
And I’ll live with mine
When the Lord comes up
And our hearts collide
I will Pray for you
To open up your mind
Change of topic
~~*~~

FOREVER ALIVE ...IN ME

There’s a place I go…
When I feel like this
It’s not on a map
But it does exist
In me…

Where I talk to you
Even though you’re gone
Where I can see you
Memories living on
In me…

~~~*Chorus*~~~
In me…
You’ll always be alive in me
In me…
I won’t ever say goodbye
I dream…
The laughter is real
I will always feel
You’ll be…
Forever alive in me…
~~*~~
This place where I am
A secret, brilliant void
With no cluttered world
Or intrusive noise
In me…
I just close my eyes
Shut out everything
No one at my door
No telephone that rings
In me…
~~~*Chorus*~~~
In me…
You’ll always be alive in me
In me…
I won’t ever say goodbye
I dream…
The laughter is real
I will always feel
You’ll be…
Forever alive in me…
~~*~~

When truth comes searching
Seeks a way inside
I simply drift away
A place it cannot find
In me…

~~~*Finale*~~~
I don’t ever say goodbye you see….
You’re forever alive in me…
~~*~~
THE BEST PART
You couldn't scrape up a penny
In the dump that we called home
Our Mother worked two full time jobs
And us kids stayed there alone
She'd finally join us, looking tired
Always bringing scraps to eat
She'd take off her old blue coat
And the worn shoes from her feet
~~~*1st Chorus*~~~
She would smile...
And look at us, like she'd been gone ten years
She say, Oh Lord, I've missed you so
Come and welcome Mommy home
She'd hug us...
Ask, do you hear my heart
And we would laugh
That was the best part
~~*~~

There was not a cross word spoken
With nothing to fight about
Checked out books from the library
We took turns reading aloud

Yeah, we all braced ourselves for school
We knew well that we'd be teased
But we were three, against them all
And there was free lunch to eat

~~~*Chorus*~~~
And a smile...
She'd look at us, like we'd been gone ten years
She'd say, Oh Lord, I've missed you so
Come here for your welcome  home
She'd hug us...
Ask, do you hear my heart
And we would laugh
That was the best part
~~*~~
~~~*Finale*~~~
I remember my childhood
Whenever things get hard
And, I smile...
Cause that was the best part
~~*~~
