THERAPY

She was playing with some children
wilted flowers as her crown
A necklace of dandelions
And her blue jeans for a gown
There was laughter,There was dancing
Lord, I wanted to join in
It was like something from a dream
The way that she played with them

~~~*Chorus*~~~
I don't need no therapy
No costly mental hug
Just saw some real-life happiness
Buddy that is good enough
I can't find a better reason
To quit whining and feel good
All the laughing, and the dancing
Found its way into my blood
The goodness I can see...
New therapy
~~*~~
They were walking down their driveway
Two old people holding hands
Not that far to reach their mailbox
But I've come to understand
~~~*Lyrical Bridge*~~~
As life speeds by, if you rage and cry
About every little thing
You'll never know, that if you took it slow
How amazing it could be
You've got to get, some true happiness
Before you can finally see...
It's real-life stuff, when you laugh and love
The best kind of therapy
~~*~~
~~~*Chorus*~~~
I don't need no therapy
No costly mental hug
Just saw some real-life happiness
Buddy that is good enough
I can't find a better reason
To quit whining and feel good
All the laughing, and the dancing
Found its way into my blood
The goodness I can see...
New therapy
AND LIFE BEGINS
He found her...
Dancing in shadows
Trying to hide
In the smokey haze
She found him...
Paying for glances
Fighting to chase
Emptiness away
~~~*Chorus*~~~
The lonely find love
And their life changes
Drawn to each other
Through a sea of faces
Filling the deep voids
They've become lost in
The lonely find love
And life begins
~~*~~

He kissed her...
Starving for worship
He was so lost
She brought him home

She kissed him...
Felt his needs find hers
Draw her back from
Where anguish roams

~~~*Lyrical Bridge*~~~
We're not meant to travel through this life alone
Everybody needs a body that they can hold
To love and laugh with, to give love freely...
Without it, life has not begun, you're lonely
So lonely
Find somebody, and begin to live
When the lonely find love...
Life begins
~~*~~
~~~*Chorus*~~~
The lonely find love
And their life changes
Drawn to each other
Through a sea of faces
Filling the deep voids
They've become lost in
The lonely find love
And life begins
~~*~~

ONE LAST TIME... THE DESCENT

One last time
To climb that mountain
To feel the high
Invade his blood
As he set out
His need was focused
Destination
Consuming rush

~~~*Chorus*~~~
He was flying down that mountain
And the wolves were close behind
His heart bursting with the cold dread
He would not escape this time
He smelled their hot breath on him
He could sense their savage thirst
He saw the shadows closing in
Heard the growls that were dispersed
Every sense was heightened
From the blissful rise
But the descent...
Was the last time
~~*~~
One last time
He climbed that mountain
He felt the high
Invade his blood
As he ran down
The beasts transcended
He'd craved the rush
Oh, far too much
~~~*Lyrical Bridge*~~~
He prayed for the baying of the hounds
To come and save him
He cursed himself for flirting so with death
Just as the cold slope fell
To the call of total darkness
And the wolves overcame him, his last breath...
Clarified
One last time

~~~*Chorus*~~~
He was flying down that mountain
And the wolves were close behind
His heart bursting with the cold dread
He would not escape this time
He smelled their hot breath on him
He could sense their savage thirst
He saw the shadows closing in
Heard the growls that were dispersed
Every sense was heightened
From the blissful rise
But the descent...
Was the last time
~~*~~
